In South Africa, while tensions with the US over tariffs persist, trade relations with China are improving, and exporters are preparing to seize new opportunities in the Chinese market. But first: the Supreme Court in Ghana has ordered the government to reveal the terms of a controversial deportation deal with the US, with human rights groups calling the agreement both unclear and immoral. Meanwhile in Kenya, the family of General Kiambati wa Njora, the last leader of the Mau Mau movement, is pushing for a national funeral to honour his legacy in the fight for independence.
