A strike launched by the US military killed two people on an alleged drug-trafficking vessel in the Pacific Ocean, US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth said on Wednesday. The latest strike marks an expansion of what US President Donald Trump described as an “armed conflict” with South America’s drug cartels that has, until now, targeted vessels in the Caribbean.
