French President Emmanuel Macron on Monday welcomed a planned meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin but said Ukrainians and Europeans should be included. Speaking with FRANCE 24’s Mark Owen, Marc Loustau, Affiliated Fellow, Institute for Advanced Study at the Central European University in Vienna, says that the meeting ‘would be a disaster for Europe’s unity and any sense that it could have agency’ in the conflict in Ukraine.
