Floridians on the Gulf Coast and the Panhandle are hoping for the best as Tropical Storm Idalia threatens to make landfall as a major hurricane late Tuesday or early Wednesday.
The Tampa Airport is officially closing as of 12:01 a.m. Tuesday morning.
The storm is on course to hit that region, as many Floridians are still recovering from Hurricane Ian, which hit just 11 months ago.
